Many many years ago we stumbled upon a filmfest while on a journey down the peninsula of Baja. This area is rich in waves and biodiversity ranging from sprawling desert to sheltered oasis. I never knew there could be so many variations of desert until about half way down the peninsula when I realized just how variable desert landscapes and climates can be!
At the start of this journey we met a friendly local who told us about a local surf film festival that was happening. Of course we went and we even won a raffle prize, yay us, thank you Save the Waves =).
Fast forward to recently when I watched their Surf film festival in 2019 I was reminded of how important of a role water plays in our lives and how vital it is that we nurture and care for this amazing resource that we are so dependent upon. Check out their 2019 filmfest trailer.

Pretty good right?
The first filmfest we attended was many many years ago so you can imagine my joy of watching their 2019 version with all of the advancements in waterproof media solutions. Now I’m feeling inspired to go out and grab some footage with my housing!
