Watching and Wishing – Wallpaper Wednesday

One always wants what they can’t have. I wonder if that applies cross species and isn’t just a human characteristic. If it does, then this seagull is definitely watching and wishing.

All along Ocean Beach the seagulls flock together in search of food, entertainment, and a good view. Mostly found near the parking areas, they rest atop the boardwalk, watch the ocean, each other and us. Who really knows what’s going trough their heads, but as a surfer, I like to think they’re watching the people out in the water catching waves.

Seagulls have yet to master wave riding like Pelicans so who knows if this is true or not.
