Pictures often times distort our perception of reality. A photo can misrepresent the moment captured and even create an entirely different story.
Take a look at the photo above, what’s the first thing that comes to your mind? For me, it was peace. There’s something calming about the colors and the way the tall grass curves.
It’s funny because that’s the complete opposite of the feeling I had when taking the picture. It’s not that I wasn’t at peace but there was a windstorm, it was drizzling and fog concealed most of the sky and landscape; that’s not so much what comes to mind when we think of tranquility. At least not when you’re outdoors in the midst of it all.
