One great part of photography is getting shots you didn’t necessarily set out to get. We were driving down the road in Jasper when I saw a couple of swans enjoying a meal and a swim. We pulled over so that I could sneak up and get a nice close shot of them.
After taking a few pictures I looked to my left and saw this plant basking in the sunshine of the evening. I changed my settings, took one shot and got it. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries, different angles and compositions before you get something you like, but for this picture the first one was the money shot. I didn’t even bother taking any more because I was just that happy with the initial picture.
