A few weeks back Jade and I where out running some errand when we looked to the right and off in the distance all we could see was a huge cloud of smoke. Being the curious people we are we went to go check it out. Riding through the back streets of Cabarete we finally found the source. There was a HUGE fire next to a baseball field in the lagoon.

Although the fire is something serious as it’s done purposely….by the locals….for fishing… I couldn’t help but crack a smile when I saw this white horse casually eating and a bunch of locals playing some baseball. In their defense, the locals and the horse, the ginormous fire was a safe distance from them but it was still an incredible sight. I immediately took out my camera and snapped a couple of shots.
