Planning a Road Trip in the US, your ULTIMATE resource guide

The Ultimate US Road Trip (and other notes)

Now let me say that as a single girl, it’s perfectly safe to drive across the US alone. I’ve done it plenty enough to know. So no matter who you are, you have no excuse to miss out on one of the most gorgeous countries on this planet. Whether you want epic landscapes of bustling city streets full of culture, there’s more than you can handle in this country. Sure, it’s cheaper to do with friends, having said that, it’s sometimes a lot more magical alone. Either way, it’s a must on your bucket list.

Don’t forget to come back next week for a life hack about using the interstate numbering system to effectively rid yourself of your GPS needs

Some of my favorites:

Cities:

  • Chicago
  • Nashville
  • San Francisco

“The Ultimate Us Road Trip” map, as according to yours truly, MOI!

  • It’s a full loop,
  • spans 1000 miles,
  • goes into Canada,
  • and will run you almost 2k in gas alone.

But it’s a good place to start. If I were allotted more waypoints I would run it from Seattle up through the Canadian Rockies before coming back to Yellowstone, but alas my ideas are still too complex for this world.

  1. Great idea! I think there’s nothing better than a cross-country road trip through the U.S.A. I’ve also done it dozens of times, and each time there is something new to see and do. And great websites to get the ball rolling.

    1. Ah, a fellow long-haul road-tripper :)

Glad you approve of the sites, feel free to add a few if you know of good ones! Or add to your favorite special locations, I know my list is far from complete!

      Thanks Corinne!
