lake, landscape, water, train, via rail

Wallpaper Wednesday – October 29nd – From the Train

We’ve just spent the last three days and nights traveling across Canada by train. We’re now in Jasper and this place truly is beautiful!

The train goes through a lot of diverse landscapes. Slowly making its way through different cities, prairies, forests with a pit stop up in the mountains. To see the landscape change so gradually is impressive. You get the best of all the worlds.

This was shot on the first day of the trip. We spent many hours passing river after lake after stream.

On this trip another aspect of my photography came about, train photography. Looking through the window with just your eyes you see all of the dirt, scratches and everything else on the glass. Find the right angle though and you get the occasional clear shot. I’ve definitely learned my fair share about shooting from a train, a write up on that coming soon =D.

On a side note: Looks like we might get some fresh snow in Jasper, crossing our fingers and hoping for lots of snow!!!!
