mountians, snow, clouds, icefield parkway, canada

Wallpaper Wednesday – November 12th – Hidden

The Rockies came and went so fast it almost felt like a dream. We’ve been hustling to get to the West coast of Canada before the real cold sets in to avoid the cost of getting Winter gear. We dabbled our feet in some snow and temperatures in the negatives but now we’re back to a warmer climate, somewhat.

This picture was taken on the Ice Field Parkway. If you’ve never heard of it you should Google it, right now. I’ll wait…

We decided to head to Banff for a couple of days and the the parkway is apparently the “Most Beautiful Road in Canada”. Whoever dubbed it that name surely is correct. We haven’t seen all of Canada but it seems pretty hard to beat that much beauty, on one single road, anywhere else.

A little more than halfway to Banff the weather decided we had enough sunshine and gave us some rain and cloud cover. One cool thing about the parkway is that it cuts through giant mountains on both sides. With the cloud cover you could occasionally see parts of the mountains peaking their peaks through the clouds creating a very visually appealing site. It was beautiful.

If you’re ever close to the Ice Field Parkway I suggest you drive down, or up it, at least partially.
