Wallpaper Wednesday – April 2nd – Snake River

A few weeks ago, Richard, a friend of ours gave me a call on a Saturday evening. He says “HEY!, so…. I have a gift for you guys, but it’s a half gift.” Very intrigued and curious of what the definition of a half gift is, I asked him to elaborate. So he tells me that he has a helicopter that is flying across the island to the capital, Santo Domingo. He continues, “The helicopter is going to make the trip anyways and it might as well take some people while it’s at it, so, you want to go? The catch is that it’s only going there and you have to make your way back.”

Jade and myself both excitedly agreed and off we went. This was the first times in a helicopter for both of us and it was a BEAUTIFUL ride. I’ve seen the country many times from a plane before but they fly so high that the detail gets lost. The helicopter flies at a happy medium, not too high, not too low.

What usually takes 3-4 hours in car took us around 45 minutes in the helicopter. We got to see countless rivers, streams, mountains, random houses in the middle of nowhere and more. We extend a special thank you to Richard, without you, this shot and wallpaper wouldn’t of been possible, so THANKS!!! =D
